"And Allah has said, 'Do not take two gods,'" meaning: Do not worship anyone else alongside Allah, "'for He is but one God, so fear Me,'" meaning: fear Me.
﴿وَقَالَ اللَّهُ لَا تَتَّخِذُوا إِلهَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ﴾ أَيْ: لَا تَعْبُدُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ غَيْرَهُ ﴿إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلهٌ وَاحِدٌ فإياي فارهبون﴾ فخافون.
