Translation · EN

"And Allah has made for you, out of that which He has created, shadows," Qatada said: meaning from trees and other things. "And He has made for you, from the mountains, shelters," meaning: the caves that exist in the mountains, which provide shelter from heat and cold. "And He has made for you garments to protect you from the heat," meaning: made of cotton and linen.

﴿وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِمَّا خَلَقَ ظلالاً﴾ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ: يَعْنِي: مِنَ الشَّجَرِ وَغَيْرِهَا ﴿وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ أكناناً﴾ يَعْنِي: الْغِيرَانَ الَّتِي تُكُونُ فِي الْجِبَالِ تُكِنُّ مِنَ الْحَرِّ وَالْبَرْدِ ﴿وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ سَرَابِيلَ تَقِيكُمُ الْحَرَّ﴾ يَعْنِي: مِنَ الْقُطْنِ وَالْكَتَّانِ
