Translation · EN

"And even if We had sent down unto you a writing on parchment," the verse. Al-Hasan said: This is because they asked the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, to bring them a sign: a book that they could read. They said: We will not believe you until you send down to us a book from Allah that we can read, addressed to every man by his name, stating: Believe in Muhammad, for he is My messenger.

Surat al-An'am from verse (8) to verse (10).

﴿وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ كِتَابًا فِي قرطاس﴾ الْآيَةَ، قَالَ الْحَسَنُ:

وَذَلِكَ أَنَّهُمْ سَأَلُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ بِآيَةٍ: بِكِتَابٍ يَقْرَءُونَهُ وَقَالُوا: لَنْ نُؤْمِنَ لَكَ حَتَّى تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا كِتَابًا نقرؤه من الله (ل ٩١) إِلَى كُلِّ رَجُلٍ بِاسْمِهِ؛ أَنْ آمن بِمُحَمد؛ فَإِنَّهُ رَسُولي.

سُورَة الْأَنْعَام من الْآيَة (٨) إِلَى الْآيَة (١٠).
