"The Day every soul will come disputing for itself." Al-Hasan's interpretation: Every soul will be made to stand before Allah for judgment, and none shall be asked about their deeds except by Allah. "And every soul will be compensated [in full] for what it did." As for the disbeliever, he will have none of his good deeds in the Hereafter, for he was already compensated for them in the world; as for his evil deeds, he will be compensated for them in the Hereafter, and he will be punished with the Fire. As for the believer, he is the one who will be compensated for his good deeds in the Hereafter. Regarding his evil deeds, some of them do not leave the world until their evil deeds are removed through affliction and punishment, while others will have some of their evil deeds remaining, and Allah will do with them as He wills.
