"And do not say about what your tongues assert of untruth, 'This is lawful and this is unlawful.'"
Muhammad said: The meaning is: And do not say, for the description of your tongues as falsehood, 'This is lawful and this is unlawful.'
Meaning: What they forbade of livestock and crops, and what they deemed lawful of eating carrion.
﴿وَلا تَقُولُوا لِمَا تَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُكُمُ الْكَذِبَ هَذَا حَلالٌ وَهَذَا حَرَامٌ﴾.
قَالَ محمدٌ: الْمَعْنَى: وَلا تَقُولُوا لَوَصْفِ أَلْسِنَتِكُمُ الْكَذِبَ هَذَا حَلالٌ وَهَذَا حَرَامٌ﴾.
يَعْنِي: مَا حَرَّمُوا مِنَ الأَنْعَامِ وَالْحَرْثِ، وَمَا اسْتَحَلُّوا من أكل الْميتَة.
