Translation · EN

The saying of the Exalted: "Then, indeed your Lord, to those who have done evil out of ignorance, and then repented after that and corrected themselves, indeed your Lord, after that," (Folio 179) meaning: after that ignorance, if they repent from it, "is Forgiving, Merciful." For every sin that the servant commits, it is considered an act of ignorance on his part.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: ﴿ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لِلَّذِينَ عَمِلُوا السُّوءَ بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُمَّ تَابُوا مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوا إِن رَبك من بعْدهَا﴾ (ل ١٧٩) مِنْ بَعْدِ تِلْكَ الْجَهَالَةِ؛ إِذَا تَابُوا مِنْهَا ﴿لغَفُور رَحِيم﴾ فَكُلُّ ذنبٍ عَمِلَهُ الْعَبْدُ فَهُوَ مِنْهُ جهلٌ.
