Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Aziz by Ibn Abi Zamanin
Volume 2 · Page 16233

Translation · EN

"We know that it saddens you what they say," that you are a sorcerer, that you are a poet, that you are a soothsayer, and that you are possessed.

Al-Kalbi said:

It weighed heavily upon him and saddened him, so Allah, may He be exalted, informed him that they do not call you a liar, for they have recognized that you are truthful, "but the wrongdoers deny the verses of Allah."

Muhammad said: Whoever recites "la yukadhidbunaka" (they do not call you a liar) with the shaddah (ta) [as takhdhibunaka], the meaning is: they do not attribute falsehood to you. And whoever recites "la yakdhibunaka" with the takhfif (lightening of the letter), the meaning is: they do not find you to be a liar.
