Translation · EN

"O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger," Qatada said: He is Muhammad.

"making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture," meaning: that which they distorted of it, "and He overlooks much" regarding what was forbidden to them; meaning: He makes it lawful for them.

"There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book," meaning: the Quran.
