"O my people, enter the Holy Land"—meaning: that which has been blessed, and it is [the Levant (al-Sham)]—"which Allah has decreed for you" to enter.
"And do not turn back on your heels, for then you would turn back"—to the Hereafter—"as losers."
﴿يَا قَوْمِ ادْخُلُوا الأَرْضَ الْمُقَدَّسَةَ﴾ يَعْنِي: الَّتِي بُورِكَ فِيهَا، وَهِيَ [الشَّام] ﴿الَّتِي كتب الله لكم﴾ أَنْ تَدْخُلُوهَا.
﴿وَلا تَرْتَدُّوا عَلَى أدباركم فتنقلبوا﴾ (ل ٨١) إِلَى الْآخِرَةِ ﴿خَاسِرِينَ﴾
