Two men said, one of whom was Joshua son of Nun, and the other was Caleb. They are the two whom Allah referred to in His saying: "Two men from among those who feared, upon whom Allah had bestowed His blessing," because of their fear of Allah: "We know the people better than these do; the people have been filled with terror of us."
"Enter upon them through the gate, for when you enter it, you will surely be victorious. And upon Allah rely, if you should be believers." Surah al-Ma'idah, from verse (23) to verse (26).
قَالَ رَجُلَانِ أَحَدُهُمَا:
يُوشَعُ بْنُ نُونٍ، وَالْآَخَرُ: كَالُوبُ؛ وَهُمَا اللَّذَانِ قَالَ اللَّهُ: ﴿قَالَ رَجُلانِ مِنَ الَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمَا﴾ بِمَخَافَتِهِمَا اللَّهَ: نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِالْقَوْمِ مِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ؛ إِنَّ الْقَوْمَ قَدْ مُلِئُوا مِنَّا رُعْبًا.
﴿ادْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِمُ الْبَابَ فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُمُوهُ فَإِنَّكُمْ غَالِبُونَ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَتَوَكَّلُوا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤمنين﴾. سُورَة الْمَائِدَة من الْآيَة (٢٤) إِلَى الْآيَة (٢٦).
