"And O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise," [to the end of] the verse. Ibn Abbas said: The tree is the ear of corn. Qatadah said: It is the fig.
And His saying: "Then you will both be among the wrongdoers," meaning: to yourselves through your error.
﴿وَيَا آدَمُ اسْكُنْ أَنْتَ وَزَوْجُكَ الْجنَّة﴾ الْآيَةَ، قَالَ ابْنُ عباسٍ: الشَّجَرَةُ: السُّنْبُلَةُ. وَقَالَ قَتَادَةُ: هِيَ التِّينُ.
وَقَوله: ﴿فتكونا من الظَّالِمين﴾ أَي: لأنفسكما يخطيئتكما
