"Say, 'Who has forbidden the adornment of Allah which He has brought forth for His servants?'" Meaning: clothing, because they used to circumambulate the House while naked.
"And [who has forbidden] the good things from the provision?" [Meaning] what they forbade from their livestock and other things.
"Say, 'They are for those who believe in the worldly life'"—and the polytheists shared them therein during the worldly life—"[but they will be] exclusively theirs on the Day of Resurrection," to the exclusion of the polytheists.

﴿قُلْ مَنْ حَرَّمَ زِينَةَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي أخرج لِعِبَادِهِ﴾ يَعْنِي: الثِّيَابَ؛ لِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَطُوفُونَ بِالْبَيْتِ عُرَاةً.
﴿وَالطَّيِّبَاتِ مِنَ الرِّزْقِ﴾ مَا حَرَّمُوا مِنْ أَنْعَامِهِمْ، وَغَيْرُ ذَلِكَ.
﴿قُلْ هِيَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فِي الْحَيَاة الدُّنْيَا﴾ وَقَدْ خَالَطَهُمُ الْمُشْرِكُونَ فِيهَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَهِيَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ﴿خَالِصَةً يَوْم الْقِيَامَة﴾ دُونَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ.
