Translation · EN

"He covers the day with the night," meaning: that the night comes upon the day, covering it and causing it to vanish. "And the stars are subjected by His command," meaning: and He created the stars, moving in their orbits.

﴿يغشي اللَّيْل النَّهَار﴾ أَيْ: بِأَنَّ اللَّيْلَ يَأْتِي عَلَى النَّهَارَ، فَيُغَطِّيهِ وَيُذْهِبُهُ ﴿وَالنُّجُومَ مُسَخَّرَاتٍ﴾ أَيْ: وَخَلَقَ النُّجُومَ جَارِيَاتٍ مَجَارِيهِنَّ.
