"We would have opened for them blessings from the heaven and the earth." Qatada said: He says: The heaven would have given them its rain, and the earth its vegetation.
﴿لَفَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَرَكَاتٍ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْض﴾ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ: يَقُولُ: لَأَعْطَتْهُمُ السَّمَاءُ قطرها، وَالْأَرْض نباتها.
