And His saying: "And We did not find for most of them any covenant," meaning: the covenant that was taken from them in the loins of Adam.
﴿وَمَا وَجَدْنَا لأَكْثَرِهِمْ مِنْ عَهْدٍ﴾ يَعْنِي: الْمِيثَاقَ الَّذِي أُخِذَ عَلَيْهِمْ فِي صلب آدم.
