Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Aziz by Ibn Abi Zamanin
Volume 2 · Page 4131

Translation · EN

"Then Allah sent a raven scratching in the ground"—the verse.

Al-Kalbi said:

He had killed him in the evening, and returned to him in the morning to see what had become of him. He found a living raven throwing dirt over a dead raven. He then said: "Woe to me! Have I become unable to be like this raven and cover the corpse of my brother?"—just as this raven covers the corpse of its brother. He then cried out in woe, and became one of the regretful ones.

Surat al-Ma'idah, verse (32) only.
