Allah says: "But when He gives them a righteous child, they ascribe to Him partners regarding that which He has given them." Qatada said: "It was a partnership in their obedience to Iblis regarding their naming him 'Abd al-Harith; it was not a partnership in worship."
قَالَ اللَّهُ: ﴿فَلَمَّا آتَاهُمَا صَالِحًا جَعَلا لَهُ شُرَكَاءَ فِيمَا آتَاهُمَا﴾ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ: فَكَانَ شِرْكًا فِي طَاعَتِهِمَا لإِبْلِيسَ فِي تَسْمِيَتِهِمَا إِيَّاهُ: عَبْدَ الْحَارِثِ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ شِرْكًا فِي عبادةٍ.
