Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Aziz by Ibn Abi Zamanin
Volume 2 · Page 485199

Translation · EN

"Take what is easily accessible," Mujahid said: He means: take what is easily accessible of the characters and deeds of the people without [inquisition].

Muhammad said: "The easy" (al-'afw) in the speech of the Arabs is that which is brought without hardship.

"And enjoin what is right (al-'urf)," meaning: what is ma'ruf (known/good). "And turn away from the ignorant," meaning: the polytheists.

His saying: "Turn away" is abrogated; it was abrogated by the command to fight.
