"And if a suggestion from Satan should provoke you (to anger)," Al-Hasan said: The provocation (nazgh) is whispering.
Muhammad said: The root of the word nazgh is movement; you say: I have provoked (nazaghtu-hu) him, meaning: I have moved him.
﴿وَإِمَّا يَنْزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ نَزْغٌ﴾ قَالَ الْحَسَنُ: النَّزْغُ: الْوَسْوَسَةُ.
قَالَ محمدٌ: وَأَصْلُ النَّزْغِ: الْحَرَكَةُ؛ تَقُولُ: قد نزغته؛ إِذا حركته.
