"And fear a trial that will not strike those who have wronged among you exclusively" (8:25), meaning: when it descends, it encompasses the oppressor and others as well. Al-Hasan said: He addressed with this the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
Surah al-Anfal from verse (26) to verse (29).
﴿وَاتَّقُوا فِتْنَةً لَا تُصِيبَنَّ الَّذِينَ ظلمُوا مِنْكُم خَاصَّة﴾ أَيْ: أَنَّهَا إِذَا نَزَلَتْ تَعُمُّ الظَّالِمَ وَغَيْرَهُ. قَالَ الْحَسَنُ: خَاطَبَ بِهَذَا أَصْحَاب النَّبي ﷺ.
