{And if you could see when the angels take the souls of those who disbelieved, striking their faces and their backs.} Al-Dahhak ibn Muzahim said: This is [on] the Day of Badr.
﴿وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذْ يَتَوَفَّى الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا الْمَلائِكَةُ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَأَدْبَارَهُمْ﴾ قَالَ الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مُزَاحِمٍ: هَذَا يَوْم بدر.
