"And you see many of them," meaning: the Jews, "hastening into sin and aggression," meaning: disobedience and injustice, "and their consuming of the unlawful." Al-Hasan said: [It is] taking bribes for judgment. "How wretched is that which they have been doing," meaning: their judges.
