Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Aziz by Ibn Abi Zamanin
Volume 2 · Page 74522

Translation · EN

"It is He who enables you to travel on land and sea, until, when you are in ships," meaning: in vessels—He says this to the polytheists. Then He said to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: "And they sail with them on a fair wind and they rejoice therein, there comes a storm wind," meaning: a severe one—the verse.

His saying, may He be glorified and exalted: "And they thought that they were encompassed," meaning: that they were about to be drowned, "they supplicated to Allah"—the verse.
