[Except for those who are patient and do righteous deeds.] Allah (Mighty and Majestic is He) made an exception for the people of faith, meaning: that they do not act in the manner that He clarified regarding the actions of the polytheists.
﴿إِلا الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ﴾ اسْتَثْنَى اللَّهُ ﷿ أَهْلَ الإِيمَانِ؛ أَيْ: أَنَّهُمْ لَا يَفْعَلُونَ الَّذِي بَيَّنَ مِنْ فِعْلِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ.
