Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Aziz by Ibn Abi Zamanin
Volume 2 · Page 87432

Translation · EN

"They said, 'O Noah, you have disputed with us,'" meaning you have argued with us, "'and have prolonged your dispute with us.'"

"'If Allah intends to mislead you'"—meaning, to lead you astray.

Muhammad said: "Yughwiyakum" (mislead you): Its root meaning is to destroy you. The Arabs say, "Aghwaytu fulanan" (I led so-and-so astray), meaning I destroyed him. From this is their saying, "Ghawa al-fasil" (the young camel perished), when it loses its milk and dies.
