"As if they had not prospered therein," meaning: they had not lived therein.
Muhammad said: And it was said: As if they had not dwelt therein.
Surah Hud from verse (69) to verse (73).
﴿كَأَن لم يغنوا فِيهَا﴾ أَيْ: لمْ يَعِيشُوا.
قَالَ محمدٌ: وَقيل كَأَن لم ينزلُوا فِيهَا.
سُورَة هود من الْآيَة (٦٩) إِلَى الْآيَة (٧٣).
