Translation · EN

"Nor any intimate friend," meaning one of close kinship, so that he might bear some of our burden, just as an intimate friend would carry it for his friend in this world. They say this when the sinners among the believers are interceded for, and they are brought forth from it [the Fire].

﴿وَلَا صديق حميم﴾ قَرِيبِ الْقَرَابَةِ، فَيَحْمِلَ عَنَّا؛ كَمَا كَانَ يَحْمِلُ الْحَمِيمُ عَنْ حَمِيمِهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا؛ قَالُوا هَذَا حِينَ شُفِعَ لِلْمُذْنِبِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ؛ فَأُخْرِجُوا مِنْهَا
