"{You are but one of those bewitched}" [Qur'an 26:153]. The interpretation of al-Hasan and Mujahid is: meaning, one of those who have been affected by magic (al-mashurin).
Muhammad said: It is as if this was done to him time after time, and for that reason it was given a shaddah (emphatic doubling of the letter).
﴿إِنَّمَا أَنْت من المسحرين﴾ تَفْسِيرُ الْحَسَنِ وَمُجَاهِدٍ: يَعْنِي: مِنَ الْمَسْحِورِينَ.
قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: كَأَنَّهُ فُعِلَ ذَلِكَ بِهِ مَرَّةً بَعْدَ مَرَّةٍ، وَلذَلِك شدد.
