"And if We willed, We could surely do away with that which We revealed to you" (17:86), meaning: the Quran, so that nothing of it remains, "then you would not find for yourself therein an advocate against Us," meaning: a guardian to protect you from that.
﴿وَلَئِنْ شِئْنَا لَنَذْهَبَنَّ بِالَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْك﴾ يَعْنِي: الْقُرْآنَ حَتَّى لَا يَبْقَى مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ ﴿ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُ لَك بِهِ علينا وَكيلا﴾ أَيْ: وَلِيًا يَمْنَعُكَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ.
