Allah said to the Prophet: [Say: perhaps some of it may have followed you]. Qatada said: Meaning, it has drawn near to you.

Muhammad said: (Radifa lakum), the 'lam' in it is superfluous according to the linguists; the meaning is: it followed you, just as you say: 'rakibakum' (it rode you/followed you closely), and it came after you. [Some of that which you hasten], Al-Hasan said: Meaning, the establishment of the Hour by which the last of the disbelievers of this nation will be destroyed.
