"And Pharaoh said, 'O eminent ones, I have not known for you any god other than me.'" Al-Hasan said: He intentionally lied. "'So ignite for me, O Haman, [a fire] upon the clay,'" meaning: Bake bricks for me; for he was the first to bake bricks. "'And construct for me a tower,'" meaning: Build for me a palace. So he built for him a high tower. Pharaoh knew that Moses was the Messenger of Allah, and this statement from him was a lie.
