Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Aziz by Ibn Abi Zamanin
Volume 3 · Page 1234

Translation · EN

a town that was ungrateful for its livelihood. This is like His saying: "So it denied the favors of Allah."

Muhammad said: It is said that the meaning of "was ungrateful for its livelihood" is: it was insolent in its livelihood. The accusative case of "its livelihood" (ma'ishataha) is due to the omission of the preposition "in" (fi).
