"Then the tidings will be obscured to them," meaning: the arguments; according to the tafsir of Mujahid. "That Day, they will not be able to ask one another," meaning: that none of them shall bear any of another's sins; according to the tafsir of al-Hasan.
﴿فعميت عَلَيْهِم الأنباء﴾ الْحُجَجُ؛ فِي تَفْسِيرِ مُجَاهِدٍ ﴿يَوْمَئِذٍ فهم لَا يتساءلون﴾ أَي يَحْمِلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَنْ بَعْضٍ مَنْ ذُنُوبِهِمْ شَيْئًا؛ فِي تَفْسِيرِ الْحَسَنِ.
