"And how many (wa-ka'ayyin)," meaning: how many, "a creature that does not carry its provision," meaning: it eats with its mouth and does not store anything for tomorrow.

﴿وكأين﴾ أَيْ: وَكَمْ ﴿مِنْ دَابَّةٍ لَا تحمل رزقها﴾ يَعْنِي: تَأْكُلُ بِأَفْوَاهِهَا، وَلَا تَحْمِلُ شَيْئا لغد.
