[And the diversity of your languages and your colors]. The interpretation of al-Kalbi: the diversity of your languages means the Arabs have a language, the Persians have a language, the Romans have a language, and (the rest of the people) have a language. [And your colors] means white, red, and black.
﴿وَاخْتِلَاف أَلْسِنَتكُم وألوانكم﴾ تَفْسِيرُ الْكَلْبِيِّ: اخْتِلَافُ أَلْسِنَتِكُمْ لِلْعَرَبِ كَلَامٌ، وَلِفَارِسَ كَلَامٌ، وَلِلرُّومِ كَلَامٌ (سَائِرهمْ من النَّاس) كَلَام ﴿وألوانكم﴾ أَبيض وأحمر وأسود.
