Volume 3 · Page 135227

Translation · EN

[And He it is Who originates the creation, then will repeat it] after death; meaning: the Resurrection. [And it is easier for Him] that is: and it is swifter for Him to originate the creation, one creation after another, then resurrect them all at once.

Muhammad said: Abu Ubaydah said: The meaning is: And it is easy for Him. As they said: "Allah is the Greatest" (Allahu Akbar) in the sense of "The Great" (al-Kabir); and as they said: "Most ignorant" (ajhal) in the sense of "ignorant" (jahil). He recited in verse:

(And I may reproach my cousin if he is unjust ... and I overlook his ignorance if he is most ignorant.)

Surat ar-Rum from (Verse 28, Verse 29).
