[He sets forth for you a parable from your own selves]. Then He mentioned that parable, saying: [Are there for you] meaning: Do you have? [among what your right hands possess] meaning: your slaves, [any partners in what We have provided for you, so that you are equal therein?] meaning: Does any one of you share his slave in his wife and his wealth? [You fear them] meaning: You fear their reproach, [as you fear yourselves] meaning: as you fear one another; that is, no one among you does this. Therefore, I am more entitled that none should be associated with Me in My worship. [Thus We explain the verses] meaning: We make them clear.
﴿ضَرَبَ لَكُمْ مَثَلا مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ﴾ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ الْمَثَلَ فَقَالَ: ﴿هَل لكم﴾ يَعْنِي: ألكم؟ ﴿مِمَّا ملكت أَيْمَانكُم﴾ يَعْنِي: عبيدكم ﴿من شُرَكَاء فِيمَا رزقناكم فَأنْتم فِيهِ سَوَاء﴾ أَيْ: هَلْ يُشَارِكُ أَحَدُكُمْ مَمْلُوكَهُ فِي زَوجته وَمَاله؟ ﴿تخافونهم﴾ تخافون لائمتهم ﴿كخيفتكم أَنفسكُم﴾ يَعْنِي: كَخِيفَةِ بَعْضِكُمْ بَعْضًا؛ أَيْ: أَنه لَيْسَ أحد مِنْكُم هَذَا؛ فَأَنَا أَحَقُّ أَلَّا يُشْرَكَ بِعِبَادَتِي غَيْرِي ﴿كَذَلِك نفصل الْآيَات﴾ نبينها
