[from among] those who divided their religion and became sects, factions," meaning: the People of the Book. "Every party" meaning: every group. "With what they have" meaning: with what they are upon. "Rejoicing" meaning: pleased.

مِنَ الَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شيعًا فِرَقًا؛ يَعْنِي: أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ ﴿كُلُّ حزب﴾ كل قوم ﴿بِمَا لديهم﴾ أَيْ: بِمَا هُمْ عَلَيْهِ ﴿فَرِحُونَ﴾ أَي: راضون.
