"Your creation and your resurrection are not but as a single soul." The polytheists said: "O Muhammad, Allah created us in stages: as sperm-drops, then as blood-clots, then as chewed-like lumps, then as bones, then [clothed them with] flesh, then He brought us forth as a different creation, as you claim, and you claim that we will be resurrected in a single hour?" So Allah revealed [the following] as a response to their statement: "Your creation and your resurrection are not but as a single soul." It is only that He says to it, "Be," and it is.
Muhammad said: Whoever reads "fa-yakūnu" (then it is) in the nominative case (rafʿ), it is based on the meaning: "fa-huwa yakūnu" (then it is/it comes to be).
Surat Luqman (Verse 29 to Verse 32).
﴿مَا خَلْقُكُمْ وَلا بَعْثُكُمْ إِلا كَنَفس وَاحِدَة﴾ قَالَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ، خَلَقَنَا الله (ل ٢٦٧) أَطْوَارًا: نُطَفًا ثُمَّ عَلَقًا ثُمَّ مُضَغًا ثُمَّ عِظَامًا ثُمَّ لَحْمًا، ثُمَّ أَنْشَأَنَا خَلْقًا آخَرَ كَمَا تَزْعُمْ، وَتَزْعُمُ أَنَّا نُبْعَثُ فِي سَاعَة وَاحِدَة؟ ّ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ جَوَابًا لِقَوْلِهِمْ: ﴿مَا خَلْقُكُمْ وَلا بَعْثُكُمْ إِلا كَنَفْسٍ وَاحِدَة﴾ إِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُنْ فَيُكُونُ.
قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: مَنْ قَرَأَ (فَيَكُونُ) بِالرَّفْعِ فَعَلَى مَعْنَى: فَهُو يَكُونُ).
سُورَة لُقْمَان من (آيَة ٢٩ آيَة ٣٢).
