"Whenever they desire to emerge from it, they will be returned into it." He says: When they are at its bottom, its flame will lift them; until, when they are at its top, they hope to emerge from it, but they are struck with rods of iron, and so they fall back into its bottom.
Surah as-Sajdah from (verse 21 to verse 25).
﴿كُلَّمَا أَرَادُوا أَنْ يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا أعيدوا فِيهَا﴾ يَقُولُ: إِذَا كَانُوا فِي أَسْفَلِهَا رَفَعَتْهُمْ بِلَهَبِهَا؛ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانُوا فِي أَعْلَاهَا رَجُوا أَنْ يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا فَضُرِبُوا بِمَقَامِعَ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ؛ فهووا إِلَى أَسْفَلهَا.
