﴿وَرَدَّ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِغَيْظِهِمْ لم ينالوا خيرا﴾ [And Allah drove back those who disbelieved in their rage, having gained no good], meaning: they did not attain victory or spoils from the Muslims, and that would have been "good" for them had they attained it. ﴿وَكَفَى الله الْمُؤمنِينَ الْقِتَال﴾ [And Allah sufficed the believers in the battle] by means of the wind and the soldiers He sent against them.
﴿وَرَدَّ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِغَيْظِهِمْ لم ينالوا خيرا﴾ يَعْنِي: لَمْ يُصِيبُوا ظَفَرًا وَلَا غَنِيمَةً مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ عِنْدَهُمْ خَيْرًا لَوْ نَالُوهُ ﴿وَكَفَى الله الْمُؤمنِينَ الْقِتَال﴾ بِالرِّيحِ وَالْجُنُودِ الَّتِي أَرَسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ
