"O wives of the Prophet, you are not like anyone among women, if you fear Allah, so do not be soft in speech" (33:32). Al-Kalbi said: It is speech that contains what the suspicious person desires.

Muhammad said: He said, "like anyone among women, if you fear Allah," and did not say "like one [feminine: wahida]" because "ahad" (anyone/one) is a general term applicable to the masculine, feminine, singular, and plural. "So that he in whose heart is disease may covet" (33:32), meaning: immorality, according to the exegesis of some of them.

Al-Hasan said: The majority of those who committed [acts requiring] legal punishments (hudud) in the time of the Prophet, peace be upon him, were the hypocrites.
