"And no bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another." He says: No one shall carry the sin of another.
Muhammad said: The origin of the word "wizr" (burden) is a load. Likewise, "ithm" (sin) is a "wizr" because it is a weight upon its bearer. "And never would We punish until We sent a messenger." The interpretation of al-Hasan is: He does not punish a people with total annihilation until He establishes proof against them through the messengers.
﴿وَلا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى﴾ يَقُولُ: لَا يَحْمِلُ أَحَدٌ ذَنْبَ أَحَدٍ.
قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: وَأَصْلُ الْوِزْرِ: الْحِمْلُ، وَكَذَلِكَ الْإِثْمُ وِزْرٌ؛ لِأَنَّهُ ثُقْلٌ عَلَى صَاحِبِهِ. ﴿وَمَا كُنَّا معذبين حَتَّى نبعث رَسُولا﴾ تَفْسِيرُ الْحَسَنِ: لَا يُعَذِّبُ قَوْمًا بِالِاسْتِئْصَالِ حَتَّى يَحْتَجَّ عَلَيْهِمْ بِالرُّسُلِ ,.
