"He said, 'As for him who does wrong'"—meaning, he who associates others with God—"'we will punish him'"—meaning, by killing—"'then he will be returned to his Lord, who will punish him with a terrible punishment'"—meaning, a great punishment in the Hereafter.
﴿قَالَ أما من ظلم﴾ يَعْنِي: مَنْ أَشْرَكَ ﴿فَسَوْفَ نُعَذِّبُهُ﴾ يَعْنِي: الْقَتْلَ ﴿ثُمَّ يُرَدُّ إِلَى ربه فيعذبه عذَابا نكرا﴾ عَظِيما فِي الْآخِرَة
