Translation · EN

"Say, 'If the sea were ink'"—meaning the pen is supplied from it for writing—"'for the words of my Lord'"—meaning for the knowledge of my Lord—"'the sea would have been exhausted before the words of my Lord could be exhausted, even if We brought the like of it as a supplement.'"

﴿قُلْ لَوْ كَانَ الْبَحْرُ مِدَادًا﴾ الْقَلَمُ يُسْتَمَدُّ مِنْهُ لِلْكِتَابِ ﴿لِكَلِمَاتِ رَبِّي﴾ أَيْ: لِعِلْمِ رَبِّي ﴿لَنَفِدَ الْبَحْرُ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَنْفَدَ كَلِمَاتُ رَبِّي وَلَو جِئْنَا بِمثلِهِ مدَدا﴾
