"Indeed, he was true to his promise."
Yahya: On the authority of Aban al-Attar, "that Ishmael promised a man a meeting, so he came for the appointment but did not find the man, so he remained in that place for a year waiting for him."
﴿إِنَّه كَانَ صَادِق الْوَعْد﴾.
يَحْيَى: عَنْ أَبَانٍ الْعَطَّارِ " أَنَّ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَعَدَ رَجُلًا مَوْعِدًا؛ فَجَاءَ لِلْمَوْعِدِ فَلَمْ يَجِدِ الرَّجُلَ، فَأَقَامَ فِي ذَلِكَ الْمَوْضِعِ حَوْلًا يَنْتَظِرُهُ ".
