“Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall extend the punishment for him extensively.” This is like His saying: “So taste [the penalty], for We will never increase you except in torment.”
﴿كَلَّا سَنَكْتُبُ مَا يَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُ من الْعَذَاب مدا﴾ هُوَ كَقَوْلِهِ: ﴿فَذُوقُوا فَلَنْ نَزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عذَابا﴾.
