“Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers to incite them with a persistent incitement?” Qatadah said: meaning, they disturb them with persistent disturbance toward the disobedience of Allah.
﴿أَنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا الشَّيَاطِينَ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ يؤزهم أزا﴾ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ: يَعْنِي: تُزْعِجُهُمْ إِزْعَاجًا فِي مَعْصِيّة الله.
