[He] said, 'Who is your Lord, O Moses?' He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided [it].' Al-Kalbi said: He gave it its form; He gave the man the woman, the male camel the female camel, and the male the female. 'Then guided'—He taught it how to approach her.
﴿قَالَ فَمَنْ رَبُّكُمَا يَا مُوسَى قَالَ رَبُّنَا الَّذِي أَعْطَى كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلْقَهُ ثُمَّ هَدَى﴾ قَالَ الْكَلْبِيُّ: أَعْطَاهُ شَكْلَهُ، أَعْطَى الرَّجُلَ الْمَرْأَةَ، وَالْجَمَلَ النَّاقَةَ، وَالذَّكَرَ الْأُنْثَى ﴿ثمَّ هدى﴾ عرفه كَيفَ يَأْتِيهَا
