"The Day the Trumpet is blown"—and the Trumpet (al-Sur) is a horn into which the keeper of the Trumpet blows. Every soul will then hasten to its body. All the souls will be placed into the Trumpet, so when it is blown, the souls will emerge like bees, each soul to its body. "And We will gather the criminals"—meaning the polytheists; this is a gathering toward the Fire. "On that Day, blue-eyed"—meaning: their faces will be blackened.
